Spiderweb Taco Dip

A party-sized taco dip is already a crowd-pleaser. Pipe a spiderweb of sour cream across the top, perch a olive-and-cream-cheese spider on it, and suddenly it's the centerpiece of the snack table.

Steps

  1. Stir the refried beans with the taco seasoning and spread in a 9-inch pie dish or round platter.
  2. Layer the guacamole over the beans, then 1 cup of the sour cream, then the cheese, tomatoes, olives, and green onions.
  3. Spoon the remaining 1/2 cup sour cream into a zip-top bag and snip a tiny corner. Pipe concentric circles over the dip, then drag a toothpick from the center outward in spokes to make the web.
  4. Chill 30 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips — and watch the web disappear first.
Tip: For the spider: one whole olive for the body, sliced olives for legs, arranged on the web right before serving.
Pair it with: Black Magic Margarita → on Drink All Day.
