Witch Finger Pretzels

Pretzel rods dipped in green-tinted white chocolate, with a sliced almond pressed on the end as a fingernail. They look genuinely unsettling and taste like the best part of a candy aisle.

Steps

  1. Line a rimmed baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the white chocolate with the coconut oil in 30-second microwave bursts, stirring between each, until smooth. Tint green with the gel coloring.
  3. Dip each pretzel rod about three-quarters deep, letting the excess drip off. Lay on the prepared pan.
  4. While the coating is still wet, press a sliced almond onto the top end as the nail. Let set 30 minutes at room temperature, or 10 in the fridge.
Tip: Dip at a slight angle and twist — it gives the fingers a gnarled look. A tiny dot of melted dark chocolate makes knuckle lines.
